University of Iowa moves toward combining alumni organization and its foundation to "create one, new, unified organization"

University of Iowa President Bruce Herreld created a committee last year to explore opportunities for the UI Alumni Association and the UI Foundation to work together.  In March, the committee’s report and recommendations led Herreld to announce his intention to merge the two advancement organizations.
